The Juniper Creek Trail is part of a northern spur off of the main Florida National Scenic Trail. This particular section ranges from a trailhead inside of Blackwater River State Park and ends at the bridge on Red Rock Road about 7 miles north inside of Blackwater River State Forest. If you continued section hiking us this spur you’ll eventually reach the true northern terminus of the Florida Trail where it connects to Alabama, not to be confused with the official northern terminus at Fort Pickens to the southwest. The defining elements of the trail in my opinion are the Red Rock Bluffs near the northern end of this trail segment, which actually have elevation and great access to Juniper Creek’s little beach areas. If you’re a through hiker this makes it a wonderfully easy water source.
