St. Andrews State Park, Florida is a great choice to visit if you’re looking to have a beach day, fish, or just need a break from the rest of the tourist things happening in adjacent Panama City Beach, FL. For myself this is the closest state park to home, making it seems generic, but if I came at it from the perspective of a tourist this place would probably fascinate me. Why? Because it has a tiny lake called “Gator Lake” where you can view gators. Little sand dune hiking trails (nothing major but okay if you’re just screwing around on a random afternoon), it has multiple beach areas and a jetty to explore or fish from, a pier, concessions, and even a ferry to go nearby Shell Island. I’ve even camped here, so for some people it represents lodging. In this case the lodging is the typical Florida beach style campground that is more geared for RVs but tents are okay. You’ll probably get wifi because this is basically in the city of Panama City Beach, Fl. Anyway I’m not going to go on and on about the place, but if you’re checking it out as a tourist, you should hypothetically enjoy it and be able to use it for any of the many things noted here.
