Topsail Hill Preserve State Park

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, Florida as I’ve come to know it is your typical Gulf of Mexico adjacent state park.  It features beach access, camping that is largely geared toward RVs although you can slip a tent into the mix, and a tiny bit of hiking.  By tiny bit of hiking I mean like most parks on the water there are sandy dune type path areas that won’t really let you feel too far away from beach of civilization.  This particular park has a nifty tram that runs during the day to take you from the front parking and camping areas down to the beach, so the real thing to remember is that you’re going to be stuck at the beach between tram stops to drop and pick people up, or you’ll get to do that tiny bit of hiking back to the front of the park.  Alternative, bring a bicycle and beat the system.  And yes, you’ll probably get WiFi here since it is wedged amongst coastal communities.  In my opinion the best time to visit is in the Fall, because the weather is nice but most tourism has calmed down.  For more just go visit them at https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/topsail-hill-preserve-state-park
