Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is located at 3540 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312. If you’re looking for a semi local state park experience, then planning a day trip to Tallahassee and including this park makes for a nice choice. You can enjoy the park for the water features (lake, rental kayaks, fishing) or use it for a scenic walk around experience. There are supposedly a few trails there (see map image) but I’ve yet to do them. Note the chart shown below as well indicating that different things bloom at different times of year, so if you go for the gardens your experience highly depends on the time of year. I seem to always make it out there late in the year, so my pictures represent that.
