Eden Gardens State Park

Eden Gardens State Park is part of the Florida State Park system and is located just to the West of Bay County, not far into Walton County and worth a drive, especially if you’re as close as being on Panama City Beach already. Address: 181 Eden Dr, Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459.

The “nature hike” area there isn’t large at all and the actual gardens are pretty compact so it’s almost impossible to get lost but at the same time a lot is packed into the space. Despite what the name may imply there are flower gardens here but they do not all bloom at once and are not always blooming, so you get different experiences if you go during different seasons as far as the flowers are concerned. It’s also a great looking place to hold a wedding or something and then there’s the “Wesley House” to explore. Be advised – the Wesley House requires a separate fee to take a tour of. Anyway the short of it is: great place to take a stroll, not a hike.

Tip: If you enjoy this experience, then you should look up my post about Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park as well.
